Our Duty On Earth

"If ye love me, keep my commandments."(John 14:15, KJV)

"This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you."(John 15:12, KJV)

There's no twisting here, no manipulation here. We have Jesus' word for it, that we should Love. We don't have to search the internet or start asking people why we are here on Earth for God already told us what to do. It's just sad many don't know.

I really believe that we're living in the last days where the right seems wrong and the wrong seems right but that shouldn't be our focus because we are not of the world.

Our Lord Jesus clearly states the Greatest Commandments in Mark 12:29-31 (KJV): "And Jesus answered him, The first of

all the commandments is, Hear, O

Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:

And thou shalt love the Lord thy God

with all thy heart, and with all thy soul,

and with all thy mind, and with all thy

strength: this is the first commandment.

And the second is like, namely this,

Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

There is none other commandment

greater than these." 

So, what else are we looking for? Why don't we practicalize these rather than being carried away by the world "busyness"? GOD is LOVE and True LOVE covers the whole commandments. "For all the law is fulfilled in one word,

even in this; Thou shalt love thy

neighbour as thyself."

(Galatians 5:14, KJV). 

As we all know, the world is vanity and our true identity is in heaven, we ought to walk in the Light and "raise the banner". We ought to walk in love just as our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ did. Remember, love is part of the "fruit of the Spirit" of which "against such there is no law"(Galatians 5:22-23, KJV).

Also, GOD is a Spirit and His worshippers MUST worship HIM in Spirit and Truth.

Now you can see how powerful the commandment our Saviour gives us.

Conclusively, the Preacher in Ecclesiastes 12:13 says, "Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this the WHOLE DUTY of man."(My emphasis)

So, we do not have any reason why we are here apart from doing our duty. It is our duty so let's do it! May God give us the grace to perform our duty till HE comes. Don't forget to perform your duty!
