"But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." (Isaiah 40:31)
At the moment of writing, I'm not "there" yet. I'm not as rich as Bill Gates or as humble as Paul. In our lives, if we won't deceive our own hearts, we have requests and many desires hoping that in the Name of Jesus, God will answer us.
The quest for needs and wants should be viewed in the Light of the Word. What does our Lord Jesus Christ said about our needs and cares? Does He really care at all? The answer our Father gave is quite refreshing: He said through Apostle Paul, "... [He] shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus."; He said, " If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you."; He said, " I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee."
God's Words aren't sweet empty words. The Bible is not a literature skillfully written to impress. "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:"(2 Timothy 3:16). And if we learn that the scripture is directly from God, then we can trust the Words. We can hope in it. We can find all we need and want according to this good will for us.
Lastly beloved brethren, we should put our trust in the Lord Jesus. I know we want to accomplish many good things, but He has told us, "...without ME ye can do nothing."(John 15:5) Let's comfort ourselves by staying obedient to Him. He has commanded to " Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you."(1
Peter 5:7)
Amen
