"For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of
the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins," (Hebrews
11:26, KJV)
There's a notion which says, "Once saved always saved", the notion is
WRONG if you think you may live as you like. Salvation is a free gift from God to all
that believes but, we have to "work our faith"(not that we are saved
by it but to constrain us upon the Narrow way to the Brighter side).
"Know ye not that the unrighteous shall
not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not
deceived: neither fornicators, nor
idolaters, nor adulterers, nor
effeminate, nor abusers of themselves
with mankind,
Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor
drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners,
shall inherit the kingdom of God."(1 Corinthians 6:9-10, KJV)
Now, you see that giving your life to Christ is a day job but
following Christ to the end isn't; all unrighteousness is sin and
we've all sinned. Let's therefore take and keep taking the shield of
faith, so as to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked and put on
the armour of God, so as to stand against the wiles of the devil.
Remember, an athlete isn't given a medal at the begining of the race.
Therefore, we need to hold steadfast in the knowledge of Truth. Jesus
Christ knew no sin and if we are believers, we ought to act just as he
does till the day we shall be caught with those in clouds to meet the
Lord in the air and so ever be with Him.
May God give us the grace to complete this Heavenly race. Amen
