God, Life, Anything.

You Are What You Consume

"But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread
alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of
God."(Matthew 4:4, KJV)

Our Lord Jesus Christ had said it all in the above verse: you shall
live by the word of God and hence, grow with it. According to

"Skin cells live about two
or three weeks." before they are replaced. Replaced with what? What
you eat. The real truth of the world we live is "who we are is
determined by what we are". If you decide to give you life to Christ,
then you no longer live but He lives in you and he nurtures you(see
Galatians 2:20) but if it's the other way, well you already know.

This is what a lot of people do not take note of: Secular or Worldly
things. As Christians, we shouldn't have a "bite" of anything
conformed to the world because it wars against our spirits: "For the
flesh luseth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and
these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the
things that ye would." (Galatians 5:17, KJV)

Yeah, it makes us not to do the things which ought to be doing; It
hinders us from bearing fruit. Let's look at music for example, a lot
of Christians out there listen to worldly music thinking that there's
nothing bad in it. Well, that's wrong! "...for what fellowship
hath righteousness with
unrighteousness? and what communion
hath light with darkness?"(2 Corinthians 6:14, KJV) What should
proceed from our mouth should be things that praise God and edify one
another not what gives devil glory. With our mouth, we praise God and
with same mouth, we talk about love of money, sex, cars,
drugs...brethren this ought not to be so (see James 3:10-12).

The books we read, programs we watch, events we attend...let's think
about it: "Will it makes me grow healthier in Christ or not" Know that
if something doesn't increase you, it will eventually decrease you. So
brethren, consume "a healthy diet".

May God give us grace to hold unto Him unto the last day, Amen.
