" But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; " (Matthew:5:44)
It seemed like the hardest thing to do is to live the Christian Life. However severely pure as it, we can, because we can do all things through Christ that strengthens us. And because of this, therefore we must do things needful.
When people realize that we are changed and that whenever we are slapped on our left cheek, we turn the other, they tend to take advantage of these qualities to cheat us or sabotage us. Since our old man is dead--that would take revenge on his own--what do we do as Christians about these things?
Jesus said, "Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you". It's a hard decision but really the best thing to do. God works in ways we most often, do not know.
" And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? I tell you that he will avenge theme speedily..." (Luke:18:7-8)
We have His Word on this issue and we can always hope in His Words because they are true and life. However beloved ones, do not think God is mocked or we are fools. Paul, as inspired by Holy Spirit, wrote:
" Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. "
" Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. "
" Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good. " (Romans:12:19-21)
So therefore let's not seize to do good, always.
Amen
